Eugenio Jardim

A native of Brazil, Eugenio Jardim's first memory of wine comes from leisurely Sunday brunches when his father would serve the slightly chilled Chianti 'in fiasco,' to offset the tropical heat. After graduating from college with a degree in communications, Eugenio was practicing public relations for a group of restaurants. He found the study of wine to be an integral part of his work. Relocating to Austin, Texas, Eugenio attended summer classes in service and hospitality at the University of Texas. His love of wine became crystallized. Read More...

Tasting my first empanada on a roadside with the Andes as a backdrop while impatiantly waiting for my first gulp of Malbec almost made me forget the nightmare that it was to get here.
Where? Mendoza, Argentina.
How fortunate I felt later that day to be on horseback, breathing the crisp clean air that blows from the snow-capped moutains while tasting the magnificent wines crafted in such extreme conditions.
