Vintrust's proprietary, free Wine Asset Management system enables you to record, track, analyze and optimize every bottle in your wine portfolio. You can maintain detailed records of every wine, including where you acquired it and what you paid, as well as its current rating and value.
Database Access
The Vintrust Wine Asset Management database contains thousands of producers, varietals, appellations and additional, necessary information to accurately identify your wine. This highly intuitive system knows the hierarchy of each region, sub-region and appellation. You don’t need to be a Master Sommelier to enter your data.
Two-Ply Barcodes
We provide you with our custom two-ply barcodes and scanner to help you inventory your collection. Our Wine Asset Management system keeps track of your barcode numbers (and even reminds you when you need to order more labels). Guided by the easy-to-use worksheet, you can attach a label to each bottle and record its position in your cellar. It’s that easy! Barcode labels cost as little as 10 cents per label and can be purchased in increments from 25 to 1,000. Order barcode labels online or contact Vintrust Customer Service.
Valuable Service — For Free!
Although Vintrust recommends that you use the barcode system, it is not required to utilize our Wine Asset Management software. You can register with Vintrust and utilize the system free of charge. You can also add wine to your account for free."
Vintrust Does the Rest For You
Our expert wine data team will research and enter the current market value for each bottle of your wine and provide links to ratings from Vintrust SOMMs (SOMMscores) Robert Parker, Steve Tanzer and the Wine Spectator for each wine.
Once inventoried, you can search your collection via your online account. For instance, you can look for all of your Barbarescos from 1990 to 1995 with Robert Parker scores of 90 or above that are in your home cellar. The system will even tell you each bottle’s location in your cellar.

Keep Your Information Up-To-Date
Your wine portfolio is dynamic, not static. Vintrust provides you with the tools to record each bottle of wine you purchase, sell or consume.
New Purchases
Use your Wine Asset Management system to record new purchases, including pre-arrival purchases — or let Vintrust do it for you. Any purchases made through Vintrust or sent to Vintrust for storage will automatically be inventoried by us. We can also add wine to your account even if we don’t actually handle it. Just send the purchase information via fax or email and we will enter it for you, including the purchase price and source of each wine (a bottle image may or may not appear).
Consumption, Gifts and Sales
Use the Wine Asset Management system to record any wine that is removed from your cellar, whether you drink it, sell it or gift it to someone. You can do this by either scanning the barcode with your scanner as the wine is removed, or remove the top layer of the barcode label and place it in a tasting book. The system allows you to enter the information manually or with the scanner. When you remove wine from your inventory account, you can record the date and reason for removal, as well as enter your personal tasting notes.
