At the age of 25, Joshua Liberman is one of the youngest Sommeliers in the fast paced world of Las Vegas. He is the Sommelier at StripSteak at Mandalay Bay, Michael Mina's steak house in Las Vegas.
Born in Petaluma California, Joshua spent the majority of my childhood living in Marin County. He attended California State Polytechnic University in Pomona California, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. It was here that he attended two wine classes, and quickly fell in love with wine.
He was recruited by Bellagio out of college as a Manager Trainee Candidate, and quickly introduced himself to Robert Bigelow, Director of Wine at Bellagio. Mr. Bigelow proved to be an excellent mentor, and Joshua started working with Mr. Bigelow one day a week, which quickly became five days a week. Mr. Bigelow offered him an incredible opportunity to work as the Sommelier at Michael Mina, alongside Joseph Phillips.
Joseph, also a Vintrust Sommelier, had the opportunity to lead Sensi's wine program in Bellagio. Mr. Bigelow offered Joshua the lead Sommelier position at Michael Mina, where he oversaw a wine program that offered over 800 selections, hitting every major wine growing region, as well as highlighting up-and-coming producers and small, artisans producers. When the Mina Group opened StripSteak in the Mandalay Bay, Joshua was tapped to head up the wine program.
